Scalp Micropigmentation
Scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical treatment intended to create the appearance of fuller hair by replicating the look of natural hair follicles within the scalp. This paramedical tattoo procedure can help improve the appearance of thinning hair, hairline recession, and certain types of hair loss while creating the visual effect of greater density.
You May Benefit from This Treatment If You Have:
- Thinning hair or a receding hairline
- Postpartum hair loss or hormonal hair thinning
- Traction alopecia from tight hairstyles or extensions
- Male pattern baldness
- Scars from hair transplant procedures (FUT strip scars) or surgical scars
- Areas of reduced hair density
How the Treatment Works
Scalp micropigmentation uses carefully placed pigment to replicate the appearance of natural hair follicles within the scalp. By creating the visual effect of tiny hair follicles, the treatment can improve the appearance of density and help define the hairline. The procedure is customized to complement each client's natural hair color, skin tone, and hair growth pattern.
Consultation Requirement
A consultation is recommended before treatment so we can evaluate the scalp, discuss your goals, and determine the most appropriate treatment plan. During this consultation we review factors such as hair loss pattern, scalp condition, and desired hairline design to ensure the treatment is tailored to your needs.
Healing & Results
Healing time is typically minimal, and most clients are able to return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment. Some clients may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired density and balance. As the pigment settles, the appearance of fuller hair becomes more refined and natural within the scalp.
Important Considerations
Scalp micropigmentation is designed to improve the visual appearance of hair density but does not restore or stimulate actual hair growth. Results are cosmetic in nature only. A consultation will help determine whether scalp micropigmentation is the most appropriate option for your specific hair loss concerns.
Clients who have experienced hair loss due to surgical procedures, radiation therapy, or other medical treatments must allow sufficient time for the scalp to fully heal before treatment can begin. In some cases, medical clearance from a healthcare provider may be recommended prior to treatment.
For clients experiencing active scalp conditions such as infections, head lice, severe dandruff, dermatitis, or other scalp disorders, treatment may need to be postponed until the condition has been properly evaluated and managed by a medical professional.
